Washington University’s fine art insurance covers damage to artwork and irreplaceable items on university property. The policy covers physical losses to fine arts that are owned by or on temporary loan to the university. Most perils are covered, including fire, theft and flood, but there are certain exclusions that may apply.
University Artwork On Loan
The university’s policy covers university-owned artwork while in transit and while temporarily located off campus. Please contact the Insurance & Risk Management Office for policy limits.
Artwork Loaned to the University
Occasionally the owners of art temporarily on loan to the university request a certificate of insurance from the university. Please direct all such requests to the Insurance & Risk Management Office.
