Notary Public Application

If you are applying to become or to be reappointed as a notary public, please visit the Missouri Secretary of State website to learn how to obtain your notary commission letter.

Notary Bond Requirement

Operating as a notary public requires a $10,000 notary bond. To obtain a notary bond send a copy of your notary letter of commission from the State of Missouri to Tracy Merton by email, fax, or mail.

The notary bond cost is $40. The invoice for the notary bond will be sent along with the notary bond to your campus address. The bond fee is to be paid from your departmental expense account  to Marsh, the issuer of the notary bond. You can expect to receive your notary bond in about 10 days.
